Easter is approaching, and fresh snow has returned to the mountains of Madonna di Campiglio. An early-April weather system brought heavy snowfall to the Brenta Dolomites and across the valley, turning Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo white once again.
The new snow is excellent news for Easter visitors, with the ski lifts scheduled to remain open through the holiday period.
It is the perfect opportunity for one final winter break and a last few days of skiing on the well-covered slopes of the Brenta Dolomites.
Ski lifts open at Easter
Madonna di Campiglio’s lifts remain open during the Easter holidays in the Grostè area, where the season is scheduled to continue until 28 April. Visitors arriving earlier can also ski on Monte Spinale until 22 April.
At an altitude of 2,500 metres, Grostè can maintain very good snow conditions into late April, making enjoyable Easter skiing possible.
Where to stay: hotel or apartment?
Although Easter falls near the end of the season, Madonna di Campiglio remains one of the most popular ski destinations. Campiglio is one of the few Trentino resorts still open in April and capable of offering reliable snow.
Hotels can therefore fill quickly. It is worth searching early for available hotels in Madonna di Campiglio, or considering a bed and breakfast or holiday apartment.
